There Is Such A Thing As A Morally-Upright Slut

I love sex. I’m a morally-upright slut.

There, now that I have your attention, let’s get a few things out of the way: I’m legally an adult, I have been in long-term relationships, I come from a good enough background (nuclear family is intact, private school, etcetera, very privileged, I know but stay with me here) so there’s no reason, at least in the classical expectation of women, that I should be amorous. You following me here?

Yes, I love to sleep with men. Whether it’s with the same one or not is entirely dependent on the situation. But what I will not stand for however, is non-consensual sexual activity, but let’s call it what it is: rape; married partners (if you’re so unhappy with your marriage, get your situation in check before creeping around with other women), and partners with girlfriends (I will know).

You could say that I’m a morally upright slut when it comes to who I’m sleeping with.

It might be hard to believe, but yes, you can be ‘slutty’ and want to sleep around but still have standards, because honey, momma didn’t raise no home wrecker.

I’m not out to steal anyone’s man because I always put myself in the shoes of their girl; like, would I want all this sneaking and lying going on behind my back? Of course I don’t, and karma is a real cold bitch.

In the course of my sexual adventures (it’s all been hetero for now, maybe in the future I will explore with other sexes), I like to believe I’ve developed ways to find out if a guy isn’t as single as he wants me to believe.  Admittedly, I’ve had misses, and felt extremely sorry, always to tears. I hate it whenever I find out I’ve been the one guys cheat with.

I have also had my fair share of being looked down upon whenever I decide to give dating-for-a-serious-relationship a try, when the conversation turns to how many sexual partners we’ve had between us.

As expected, when it’s guys around guys it’s all high fives and guffaws because of course, they treat sex (and how many times they’ve had it) as a conquest, a badge of honor; well too can play that game, just kinder.

I’m all for letting your freak flag fly you know, as long as you don’t hurt people who aren’t involved along the way.

Will I keep this up for long? Who knows, but one thing is for sure, it’s something I’m not ashamed of.
