Sophie Turner Shuts Down Fans Who Called Finn Wolfhard ‘Rude’

If there’s anyone who knows anything about growing up in the spotlight, it’s Sophie Turner.

Hearing about all the criticism being thrown at Stranger Things actor, Finn Wolfhard, for not stopping to talk with fans waiting for him outside a hotel, Lady Sansa naturally came to his defense.

“Damn… seeing fully grown adults wait outside the ‘Stranger Things’ kids’ hotels etc, and then abuse them when they don’t stop for them is super weird A. What adult in their right mind waits for a CHILD outside their hotel and B. is then is offended when the CHILD doesn’t stop?” Turner wrote on Twitter.

Turner goes on to say that child actors, like ordinary kids, need space to grow.

“It doesn’t matter if they are an actor… they are kids first,” she said. “Give them the space they need in order to grow without feeling like they owe anyone anything for living their childhood dreams.”

Then, the actress turns the table on Wolfhard’s adult fans.

“Oh and ps. Imagine.. you, a parent, walking with your 13 year old son/daughter and seeing a fully grown adult pointing their camera phone at your kid,” she wrote. “You would do anything you could to delete that persons photograph, and remove your child from that situation as soon as you could.”

Turner then points out that just because they’re celebrities, it does not mean they are not entitled to their privacy.

“It doesn’t matter if that child happens to be an actor and consented to a professional film crew capturing their moves when in character. That does NOT mean that this child consented to being followed around with a camera in their face. I don’t care if it ‘comes with the job’. It doesn’t,” she explained.

Then she adds, “And how dare you shun and demean that child when they don’t pose for an adult strangers photograph or walk over and talk to them when they take that NOT CONSENTED FOR photo. Doesn’t that go against everything we teach our children anyway? Pshhhh. Some people man.”

The Game of Thrones actress started her breakout role as Sansa Stark in the highly-acclaimed HBO series when she was just 14.

Now, she’s one of the most sought-after young actresses in Hollywood. In 2016, she starred in the X-Men: Apocalypse as Jean Grey and is set to reprise the role in 2018 for X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

There are only two things we can say to this: YASSS KWEEN!
