Not all members of the Royal Family are in the spot light.
With the buzz surrounding their engagement and upcoming wedding, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can expect that their wedding will be another public spectacle.
But unlike the Royal Family who are quite used to being in the public eye, there are members of the family who aren’t as publicly known, among them are the stepbrother and stepsister of the princes, the children of the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker Bowles from her previous marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles.
When Prince Charles and Camilla married in 2005, he became stepfather to Tom and Laura Parker Bowles and William and Harry gained two stepsiblings.
Tom, 43, and Laura Lopes, 40, seem to have a good enough relationship with the royal siblings as they were each present at the major life events of the other: Laura’s 2006 wedding to chartered accountant Harry Lopes had William flying in with Kate from their holiday in Mustique while Harry rushed to the wedding from Cape Town, South Africa, when he had been dating Chelsy Davy at the time; while the Parker Bowles siblings were also invited to the 2011 wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Laura’s little girl Eliza even had a major participation as one of the adorable bride’s maids.
Laura is also the co-founding partner and director of London’s Eleven Gallery, and a mommy to kids Eliza, 10, and twin boys Gus and Louis, 8.
Tom meanwhile, is a bit more in the public eye thanks to career as a cookbook author, including The Cook Book: Fortnum & Mason.
He is a food writer and critic, and even appeared on MasterChef and won the 2010 Guild of Food Writers Award for his body of work on British food.
He married his wife, Sara in 2005, and they have a daughter, Lola, but unfortunately the couple has since separated.
The two are expected to be in attendance at Harry’s wedding to Markle, but speculation is abounding as to whether Sara Ferguson, the princes’ aunt and ex-wife to Prince Andrew, will be invited.
It can be remembered that she was not in the guest list at Will and Kate’s wedding, but media speculation has a been buzzing she’s going to attend Harry and Meghan’s nuptials in a “a bid to heal broken family ties.”
But she’s going to be in a royal wedding regardless as her daughter, Princess Eugenie, is also set to be wed in October to her longtime partner Jack Brooksbank.
Ah! Royal weddings indeed.
