Rebel Wilson Says Vogue Australia Didn’t Fat-Shame Her

Do you think Rebel Wilson was fat-shamed on her Vogue Australia shoot? She doesn’t.

Actress, comedian, and fashion designer Rebel Wilson has a pretty exciting new accomplishment to add up to her resume: cover girl, and for Vogue no less.

The How to Be Single actress debuted her Vogue Australia cover on Twitter on Tuesday with this heartwarming message: “I never would’ve thought this element would be added to my life: Vogue Covergirl. This was such an amazing experience, thank you Vogue Australia and to all the designers and stylists who worked on this shoot!”

The actress looks beautiful and beaming on the cover, and she really does look like she’s having the time of her life at the shoot.

But fans were apparently appalled at the magazine for apparently editing the hell out of the Pitch Perfect star, which is honestly something that fashion magazines are notorious at:

Rebel herself defended the images, saying that she exercised and ate well in preparation for the shoot, but added she immediately a brownie afterward:

And for extra assurance to fans of both Vogue and herself, she added some side-by-side photos taken on the day of the magazine shoot:

Despite the speculation and the naysayers, we’re just happy our girl is out there reppin’ for all the plus size girls on a high fashion magazine.
