Royal Cousin Princess Eugenie Just Got Engaged

It looks like it’s going to be all wedding bells and babies for the British royal family this 2018, as another royal is set to walk down the aisle as Princess Eugenie got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank.

Princess Eugenie, 27, granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, became engaged to Brooksbank earlier this month in Nicaragua, South America, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace.

The report added that the wedding is set sometime around late autumn 2018, but the start of the year is already an exciting one for the royal clan, what with what with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s spring wedding, then the expected birth of the third child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in April, and another royal cousin, Zara Tindall, is also expected to give birth to her child with husband Mike this year.

Eugenie and Brooksbank’s wedding will take place at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, which is also the slated location of Harry and Markle’s May 19, 2018, wedding.

Like any excited mom, the princess’ mom Sarah Ferguson, the duchess of York, expressed her excitement about her daughter’s engagement in a series of tweets, calling her engagement a “Total joy.”

“A total embrace of goodness and joy. We love Jack and I am so excited to have a son, a brother and best friend. Eugenie is one of the finest people I know and so together it will be pure harmony,” Ferguson said in an official statement.

It’s adorable how the Duchess has a penchant for cutesy edited photos, and we imagine Eugenie must be lovingly rolling her eyes going, “Muuuuuuuum!”
