Missed People’s Choice Awards 2017 ceremony? We got you covered.

As the awards season ball keeps rolling, we are #blessed with tons of winning moments to talk about. While Golden Globes 2017 will forever be known to us as the time Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield had a smooch-fest and fulfilling our wildest fantasies, People’s Choice Awards 2017 also had its remarkable highlights.

Here are 8 things that happened during this year’s People’s Choice Awards night that won’t soon leave our minds.

1.) Ellen Degeneres Takes Home Her 20th PCApeople's choice awards 2017

Ellen Degeneres made history when she was given 3 awards in separate categories for a total of 20 wins throughout her career. Degeneres took home trophies for Favorite Daytime TV Host (The Ellen Degeneres Show), Favorite Animated Movie Voice (Finding Dory) and Favorite Comedic Collaboration (with Britney Spears).

“20 is outrageous,” Degeneres said of her PCA win. “This is really something than means more to me because it comes from the people. I say thank you, people, and the only thing that would make me happier is if it was voted on by animals.”

2.) Blake Lively’s Speech And Ryan Reynolds Shout Out

When Blake Lively accepted her award for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress for her role in The Shallows, she made one thing perfectly clear for fans:

“You can’t have him [Ryan Reynolds], he’s mine!” Lively joked when a fan began screaming after Lively thanked her husband.

The 29-year-old actress won among other incredible women in the category including, Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Julia Roberts.

“Watching this movie, and the women nominated in this category — when you guys voted for this, you didn’t just vote for this movie or me, but you voted for girl power,” Lively said. “And men voted for girl power, too, and you guys are awesome for doing that.”

3.) Justin Timberlake Talking About The Traffic

Justin Timberlake was late to the PCAs because of one thing that’s beyond his control – Los Angeles traffic. Thankfully, the Can’t Stop The Feeling singer arrived just in time to accept his awards for Favorite Song and Favorite Male Artist.

“I was sitting on the 101 literally 8 minutes ago,” Timberlake said. “There are way too many people in this city… but I love all of those people. I love all the people who voted for this song, I love all the people who downloaded this song.”

He also thanked his wife and son.

“If you’re watching this, buddy… the nanny’s fired,” Timberlake joked, addressing his almost-2-year-old baby. “I love you. Go to bed and you’re the reason why I wrote this song.”

4.) Johnny Depp Gets Emotional

The past two years has been difficult for Johnny Depp. In 2015, he lost his mother, Betty Sue Palmer, who died after suffering a long illness. Then, in 2016, the Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them actor got divorced.

Johnny Depp may have been accused of many things over the past few months following his controversial divorce with Amber Heard but he turned up at the People’s Choice Awards anyway for one reason only.

“I came here for one reason,” the actor said during his People’s Choice Awards 2017 acceptance speech for Favorite Movie Icon. “I came here for you, the people who through whatever good times or bad have stood by me, trusted me.”

Depp’s PCA award this year is his 14th.
