Loved Barbies as a kid? Then you’re gonna love this.
If you’re majorly waiting on the film adaptation of ‘A Wrinkle In Time’ for release on March 9, how about some collectibles of the film’s stars to get you started?
Toy company Mattel recently announced that it would be releasing dolls in the likeness of Winfrey, Witherspoon, and Kaling; who play Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit, and Mrs. Who, respectively; in anticipation of the movie.
The dolls are set at $50 apiece and will hit major stores on Feb. 23, but fear not, there are pre-order options if you are uber excited to get your hands on the exclusive Barbies first.
The film’s director, Ava DuVernay gushed at news of the intricately designed dolls on Twitter, writing:
“When Disney makes Barbies of your movie’s characters and you just want to stare at them all day in disbelief because you loved Barbies as a girl but never had any like these.”

“A Wrinkle in Time” is based on the 1962 fantasy novel by Madeleine L’Engle and stars Storm Reid as Meg Murry — a girl who travels through time and space to find her missing father, played by Chris Pine.
Good Morning America reported that DuVernay said last July that she wanted the film to have “a cast that looked like you; looked like the real world.”
Witherspoon has said that she was attracted to the project because she loved the book as a child.
“I was a huge fan of this book growing up…: a young woman going to other worlds, exploring what is possible,” she said.
