Here’s an artist whose performance is one to remember from One Love Manchester: Justin Bieber, who broke down in an emotional performance on-stage for the victims of the recent Manchester bombing, which killed 22 people and injured about 59 people outside Ariana Grande’s concert last May 22, Monday.
During One Love Manchester, Justin Bieber sang an acoustic version of Cold Water and Love Yourself.
His voice breaking with emotion, the pop singer said some powerful words for the victims of the Manchester attack and for the rest of the world.
“I just want to honor those who were lost, those that were taken from us,” Bieber said, fighting back his tears and clutching a guitar strapped over his shoulder. “We love you so much, to the families, we love you so much.”
“I’m not going to let go of hope,” he added. “I’m not going to let go of love. I’m not going to let go of God.”
Bieber then asked the audience to put their hands up to show that they are one in saying they’re “not letting go.”
“God is good in the midst of the darkness,” he continued. “God is good in the midst of the evil, God is in the midst no matter what’s happening in the world. God is in the midst and he loves you and he’s here for you.”
One Love Manchester benefit concert was organized by Ariana Grande and its proceeds will go to We Love Manchester Fund, which is meant to support the bereaved families and victims of the Manchester Arena terror attack.
Aside from Justin Bieber, other A-list artists were also there to show support, such as Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, Nial Horran, Pharrel Williams, Little Mix, Victoria Monet and Mac Miller.
The benefit concert was held at the Emirates Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester, England.
