Meghan Markle And Queen Elizabeth To Appear Together Publicly For The First Time

With literally just a few more weeks to go before their royal wedding, Meghan Markle can finally cross one more item off her list and dispel doubts that she’s accepted into the British royal family: she’s about to step out with Queen Elizabeth herself.

People bared that the American actress and Suits alum and her husband-to-be Prince Harry will join grandma Queen Elizabeth, future father-in-law Prince Charles, brother-in-law to be the Duke William and Duchess Kate of Cambridge for a special church service honoring Commonwealth Day on March 12.

Her appearance with the Queen comes at the heels of her first public appearance with Duchess Kate at the Royal Foundation Forum, where Markle talked about the importance of empowering women and girls to use their voices to create lasting change.

When you get to appear at an official function with England’s longest reigning monarch, it’s of course going to be a huge deal, as Queen Elizabeth serves as the Head of the Commonwealth.

The Royal Family also confirmed that crooner and One Direction alum Liam Payne will be onhand to perform during the ceremony.

Commonwealth Day is a celebration of all 53 member nations, hailing from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

Representatives from each member nation will join the Queen for the Commonwealth  Heads of Government Meeting, where they will discuss ways to implement the year’s theme of “towards a common future”; in England and abroad.
