Kate Moss’ Daughter Lila Moss Is The New Face For Marc Jacobs

Lila Moss (yes, that Moss) is the new face for Marc Jacobs Beauty!

While some 16 year olds might get a secondhand car for their birthday if their lucky, one 16-year old appears to be one of the luckiest of all: born to supermodel Kate Moss and magazine editor Jefferson Hack, Lila Moss- Hack is taking the modeling industry by the horns as she stars as the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty.

The announcement came via both the brand’s Instagram on Thursday, and on Moss’s own recently launched account @LilaMoss, and W Magazine notes that it seems she’ll be keeping her mother’s famous surname in her professional career.

“Lila’s beauty, composure, patience and kindness made this project even more special than I could have imagined. With each look we photographed, she got into each character effortlessly and gracefully. Thank you, Lila, for being a part of this extremely special project and thank you, [Kate Moss] and [Jefferson Hack] for allowing us the privilege to work with your beautiful daughter,” wrote Jacobs in a comment.

The young Miss Moss also wrote that it was “an honor” to represent the brand’s beauty empire.

But this isn’t her first foray into the world that has celebrated her mother for years: the teen has experimented with modeling via the British hair brand Braid Bar, but the Marc Jacobs campaign will be her first taste of working in high fashion.

She’s a spitting image of Kate, isn’t she?

Momma’s also worked closely with Jacobs back in the day, walking the runway in 1992 for the infamous grunge collection he designed for Perry Ellis, then again working with Jacobs in 1997 up to 2014 when he was the creative director for Louis Vuitton.

W Magazine adds that while mom never had a Marc Jacobs Beauty campaign of her own, it’s still quite a sentimental stepping stone for her daughter to work with someone closely associated with her mother.

If she finds that the runway life isn’t for her, she can always dabble in the world of publishing and writing like dad.
