Amid the inauguration of a misogynist president and the heartened sexists in the country, the #FreeTheNipple movement still takes place in Hollywood in one way or another.
One way female celebrities are practicing autonomy over their bodies and embracing their shapes is by showing them off, ergo, we boldly predict 2017 is going to be a year of sheer dresses, tops and other forms of clothing and beautiful nakedness.
Here are some of the empowered women who #FreeTheNipple in 2017 so far:
The supermodel has been taking on fashion show to fashion show this year – and it’s only January! Recently, Hadid walked the Alexander Vuthier runway in this Swarovski crystal dress, baring her mannequin-like figure.
Nicki Minaj is a strong, independent and entrepreneurial woman who embodies self-confidence, self-love and body positivity. In the recent TIDAL X:1015 event, Minaj wore a see-through full body suit and crossed black tape. She may not have displayed her nipples but you know exactly where they are!
It seems the supermodel member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan walks her talk as she steps out in this sheer top. Jenner has previously spoken out about going braless in public saying, “I really don’t see what the big deal is with going braless. I think it’s cool and I really just don’t care! It’s sexy, it’s comfortable and I’m cool with my breasts. That’s it!”
And just like Kendall, Kylie Jenner doesn’t care what you think of her body. In an Instagram post, the youngest of the Kardashians shows off her hourglass figure in a sheer lingerie.
Meanwhile, Kylie and Kendall’s older sister, Kourtney, was seen stepping out of a restaurant in this sexy lace bustier. Justin Bieber was there, too.
Even Selena knows there’s absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating your body. This photo shared by a photographer whom she worked with is proof of that. In the photo, Gomez confidently shows off her frame in a nude thong, holding only a towel to cover up some parts of her body.

Meanwhile, This Is Us actress Mandy Moore shows us that you don’t have to bare it all to look sexy — all you need is a plunging neckline. Moore stunned everyone when she appeared on the Golden Globes 2017 red carpet in this Naeem Khan sheer gown.
