HGTV television show “Flip or Flop” stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa’s newest flip or flop challenge may be their marriage.
Tarek and Christina, husband and wife since 2009, were real estate agents. When the real estate market crashed the married couple got into the business of flipping homes that nobody else would come in contact with in order to make ends meet. Their goal was to buy houses for cash, sometimes “site unseen”, at auctions. Tarek would gut the houses while Christina provided the rebuilding of the homes with design bling and glam. Then together the couple would sell the home for a profit. They would turn the worst of the worst into true diamonds in the rough. Which gave birth to their reality TV show “Flip or Flop”. Not all of these flips were successful hence the flop.
Everything from a far seemed perfect for the El Mouss’a as their new professional joint venture was continuing to grow in popularity. The world watched the El Moussa family that included a young daughter, grow as they added on a new baby boy bundle of joy this year, all chronicled on the reality show.
But It appears, like with most families, when the cameras went out, the real, reality turned on.
According to TMZ the El Moussa’s marital troubles started back in May when it was alleged that police were called to their home because of “a male with a gun and possible suicide attempt”. (see video below)
But the latest for the reality stars is that their marriage will be a flop. Tarek and Christina released a statement to a FOX news affiliate, saying that the incident reported back in May was a misunderstanding, but with that being said, the couple is separating and will continue to work together professionally as well as being their for what is most important to them, the children.
